He was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Ukon Miyake, a Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property. He began studying under his father, while his grandfather was the late Ninth-Generation Tōkurō Miyake, a Living National Treasure.

He made his stage debut at the age of three in Utsubozaru. He later performed a succession of the most demanding and prestigious works in the Kyogen repertoire: Sanbasō in 2002, Tsurigitsune in 2005, Kanaoka in 2007, and Hanago in 2009.

In addition to appearing in Noh performances at Noh theatres throughout Japan, he performs extensively at public theatres and cultural venues nationwide, as well as in educational outreach programs introducing traditional performing arts to elementary, junior high, and high school students.

He has also taken part in collaborative productions with Kabuki and contemporary theatre, actively exploring new artistic possibilities while promoting Kyogen to audiences of all generations.

He is a member of the Japan Nohgaku Association.
